: Oops - Before reading the previous comment, I actually thought that the poliwags had a tradition of playing the banjo (aka that these would be multiple poliwags just glaring wrathfully at the poliwhirl who knows how to play), and the poliwrath would just be ostrachized for missing an arm and thus not being "allowed" to be good at playing it. Due to that I thought the one-armed whirl just ran away after the newly evolved whirl stole his banjo.
